Jessica Powell
Owner & Lead Instructor
Jessica has been a First Aid & CPR Instructor since 2003, and has been a part time Paramedic with the British Columbia Ambulance Service since 2004. Jessica has experience teaching first aid to a wide variety of people, including children and those with special needs. She has previously worked as a First Aid Attendant in logging camps on Vancouver Island, and on the oil rigs in Northern British Columbia. Jessica is currently working on her Provincial Instructor Diploma Program through Vancouver Community College to help further her understanding of adult education. She is well known for making classes as enjoyable for participants as possible, while learning the skills required to save a life.
Mary Mclean
Instructor
Mary received her Bachelor of Education degree in 1993 and has been a CPR and First Aid Instructor since 2005. She has worked as a First Aid attendant in both forestry and farming, and has volunteered for the Mount Washington Ski Patrol for five years. With 10 years experience as a field geologist (BSc, 1986), she is also familiar with the challenges of wilderness first aid.
